Don't know if you are a 'fix-it' type of person, but if you are, eventually you will bump up against the frayed or cut electrical cord and think, "I can fix that!"

Several years ago my wife and I went to a local restaurant to celebrate our anniversary. The restaurant had a balcony-type second floor with booths on the wall looking out at the tables arranged next to the rail. We got seated in a booth along the wall and ordered our dinner. Overcoming our Negativity Bias
As humans we have a natural hyper-sensitivity to the negative. Wikipedia defines this Negativity Bias, in part, in the following citation:
...there are four ways in which humans and animals show to give greater weight to negative entities. These four aspects are negative potency, steeper negative gradients, negativity dominance, . . .
What if it was less important that anything ever got fixed?
If you are like me, there are a whole lot of things around you that you would love to see get fixed. I have a seemingly endless list of projects in and around the house of things that need fixing: the lawn that won't stay green and weed free, the car that can't keep its coolant inside the motor, the garage door that won't quite . . .
